Personal bio: My family originates from South Carolina, and my parents settled in Lakeland, Fl where I lived until I was 15 yrs old. I relocated to Crestview, Fl and graduated from Crestview High in 1989. The relocation to this part of the state had a profound impact on my life, as I had great experiences in athletics and spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors that the Gulf coast area has to offer.
I met my wife of 20 years, Tracy, while attending college and left Pensacola in 1993 for career assignments, only to return to the area in 1999, where we settled to raise a family in Navarre. We have two sons, Colton who is attending FSU and Ethan who is a senior at NHS.
Professional bio: While attending college as a Criminal Justice major, I joined the Army National guard in 1990 and spent 6yrs as a guard and army reserve infantry soldier. During this time I had numerous active duty assignments including Desert Storm and Hurricane Andrew.
I was working part time in college for Walmart as a sales associate, when I was recruited into their Loss Prevention department in 1993. I would spend 20 years working at store, market and regional level positions. My last position was a Senior Regional Asset Protection Manager over the state of Alabama and Florida Panhandle. I’ve had the opportunity to work across the country and internationally with Walmart on various assignments and with multiple state and federal agencies.
When the local Navarre Walmart manager position came available, I sought the opportunity to gain operations experience and took role in August 2013. I have enjoyed working and serving our community in this role.
I serve on the board of directors as Vice Chair for the group SAFER of Santa Rosa County.
I joined rotary in order to further serve our community and support the initiatives that Rotary stands for.
