Personal Bio – I was born and raised in the North Eastern Pennsylvania by parents of Scottish-English heritage and 8 years ago moved to Navarre after 12 years in Honolulu, Hawaii. I am a retired USAF Lt Colonel and civilian employee with 42 years of government service. I have a BA from Michigan State University in Hotel & Restaurant Mgmt. and a MA in Contracting from Webster University. My three children live in the United Kingdom, Ohio and New Jersey. We have 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I am active in the Air Force Association and the Knights of Columbus , as well as Rotary. I have taught university courses in Hospitality Management for some 22 years. We have had the good fortune to have lived in 28 different residences .
Professional Bio – I have worked as a Certified Country Club Manager (CMAA) and a Certified Etiquette Consultant and have served on the boards of credit uions, state restaurant associations, service clubs and faculty/student organizations. My past jobs include: Resident Hall Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Hotel Manager, Air Force Officers Club Manager, Financial Advisor, and Protocol Officer. My Air Force assignments took me to Viet Nam, Great Britain, and Federal Republic of Germany, 9 states and many European and Asian nations.
I joined Rotary in 2008 to give me the opportunity to give back to our community and use my skills to find needs that were not being serviced by other organizations.
